ACER is partnering with a number of institutes to provide training programs and scholarships for people seeking to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a Trained Medication Aide (TMA), or a Phlebotomist.
Program Details

This program provides a partial scholarship to eligible students

​The application is a 3-step process: Open House, Testing, and Final Application & Approval

After completing the test, if you're approved and successfully registered for your classes

Your scholarship award funds will be applied directly to your selected program
-
Students awarded partial scholarships will be responsible for covering the remaining training balance

Note: Registering for the open house, undergoing testing, and completing the application DOES NOT guarantee a scholarship. Please wait for a scholarship letter to confirm your approval for the program.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify to take the test and apply for the scholarship, you must meet all of the following:

Age: 18 years or older
-
Education Status: Not currently enrolled in high school

Income: Earn below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
Completing Your Application
Your application is not complete until you:

Complete your placement test

Connect with the ACER Team and Apply

Submit copies of the following documents:

State ID, Driver’s License, or Passport
-
Social Security Card
-
Note: If Passport is being used for ID, please have an address proof with you (a utility bill, bank statement, or lease agreement, etc.)

The steps in the Process
Open House Registration
-
This registration is for our Open House event. By registering, students are also signing up for scholarship qualification testing.

The test is an in-person placement test that checks basic skills like reading comprehension, simple math, and similar areas.

The test is MANDATORY for qualifying to apply for the scholarship
This is a Minnesota State Government funded program
-
Applications will be processed within 14 business days.

Please make sure to set up a payment system with your institute for your total program cost.

Scholarships are not guaranteed and are subject to ACER approval. ACER is not responsible for any unpaid fees or balances associated with students' training
