ACER’s program, in partnership with DEED, provides funding to help business owners expand, upgrade their spaces, and enhance customer service. Designed for businesses in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and nearby cities, the program supports local growth and strengthens the regional economy.

About the funding
Earlier this year, ACER was awarded $187,000 through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Main Street Economic Revitalization Program. The funding will support construction-ready projects spearheaded by local businesses and nonprofit organizations working to revitalize key community corridors in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and surrounding cities.
Total Funding Available
$187,000. Maximum funding per business will depend on availability of funds.
Funding CoveragE
Grant may cover up to 30% of total project costs
Award Amounts
Final grant sizes will depend on overall demand; applicants may be awarded less than the amount requested
Project Deadline
Eligible project expenses must be incurred by June 30, 2026
Who Can Apply?
Eligible Applicants:
Businesses In Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center and surrounding cities (Crystal, Coon Rapids and Maple Grove)
Priority Consideration:
Preference will be given to business owners or developers from underserved communities, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)
