New law will Restore the right to vote for people with felony convictions

On March 3, 2023 Gov. Tim Walz signed a bill into law that will restore the right to vote for felons who have served their jail or prison sentence. The law is estimated to impact about 50,000 people who have completed their sentences but are still "on paper" felons because of probation or parole.
