On Tuesday, March 7, 2023 Govoner Tim Walz signed a bill into law that will allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.

The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota produced a fact sheet showing the benefits of the new law including increased car insurance registration, safer roads as more people take driving tests, more economic opportunities for immigrants and communities, and better access to education and healthcare.
