Join us for a Cooperative Info Session. A Workshop on exploring what are Cooperatives and the impact cooperatives have in communities. Access opportunities creating Wealth and Economic Justice.

At ACER, we believe in the power of community, culture, and collective action to create racial and economic justice for communities furthest displaced from opportunity.

Our workshop will explores the significance and history of cooperatives and collaborative ways to create long term, meaningful solutions and healthy ways of building wealth and uplifting community.

Learn about what is a cooperative, the historical journey and story of community-owned commercial spaces, like the ACER INC | Innovation & Catalyst Center in Brooklyn Center, and how cooperative ownership can reshape and uplift and achieve a more just and fair economic landscape for small and micro businesses within our communities.

Topics of discussion will include:

-What is a cooperative? What impact does a cooperative have for communities?

-Learn about collaborative leadership and collective action that foster healthy and inclusive economic growth

- Learn about cooperative ownership and wealth creation

- Gain insight, build connections and strategies for overcoming challenges faced by underestimated and immigrant businesses

-Gain resources to support your own cooperative development initiative or join others

Join Densie Butler, ACER INC Associate Director and learn about her community impact experiences uplifting micro business and cooperative ownership models and cooperatives that create possibilities and pathways for inclusive economic development, policy advocacy, and generational wealth within communities.
