What is a co-operative?” In this session, explore the array of Co-operative models, opportunities, and resources on a variety of co-operative approaches for start-ups, interested community members and local small business owners and employees.

Join Denise Butler, Associate Director/Director of Economic & Community Development at African Career, Education & Resources Inc. (ACER inc) along with special guest speakers Benjamin Tsai and Nkuli Shongwe from NEXUS Community Partners in sharing ways in which our communities can be uplifted in learning, exploring and building new WEALTH BUILDING relationships, connections, and resources.
Guest speakers will share a glimpse into the diverse sample of local Minnesota co-operatives and resources from their experiences. And converse with the community on connecting natural Co-operative cultural practices with conventional approaches to community wealth building.
In this discussion, there will be a particular highlight on Real-estate Co-operatives, Workers Co-operatives, and Market Co-operatives.
After this session, you will gain a better understanding and build new connections in community and collaborative wealth-building approaches, opportunities, and connections.
