The Summer Youth Corps Youth Crew Members will add value to themselves, their community, and the environment through their dedicated service. The member will participate in a rigorous program of work, education, and training and will complete environmental restoration projects. The member is responsible for following all rules and guidelines and adding positively to their team.
Position Posting:

| Program Dates: | June 16th-July 14th or July 21st- August 18th, 2012
(Youth may only participate in one of the 4-week sessions per summer.) |
| Requirements: | Must be 15, 16, 17, or 18 years old on June 16th, 2012 for session 1
Must be 15, 16, 17, or 18 years old on July 21th, 2012 for session 2 (No exceptions because of child labor laws). |
| Reports to: | Nina Eagin, Summer Youth Corps Coordinator |
| Supervised by: | AmeriCorps Crew Leaders, ages 19-25. |
| Location: | Due to windstorm damage to our St. Croix State Park base camp, training locations are still being determined. Travel throughout MN and region to complete various environmental service projects. |
| Time-off | Youth must participate in the full 4 weeks. Time-off is granted only in the case of emergency.
(During weekends and holidays, youth will participate in recreational activities near their work location.) |
| Pay | Youth will receive a living allowance of $185 per week. They will be paid twice per month by paycheck. Paychecks can either be sent home or held by Youth Corps Coordinator until end of program. |

| Reports to: | John Stelzner, Youth Outdoors Coordinator |
| Supervised by: | AmeriCorps Crew Leaders, ages 19-25. |
| Location: | Monday – Friday crews will travel to a variety of sites within MN to complete work. |
| Time-off | Youth will spend weekends at home. Youth will be picked up each Monday and dropped off each Friday at the same Twin Cities recreation center. |
| Pay | Youth will receive a living allowance of $120 per week. They will be paid twice per month by paycheck. |
